mk1 polo into mk1 golf 1.1 c

Hi, this is probably old hat to you guys but here goes, can I fit mk1 1.1 polo engine and box into my mk1 1.1 golf c , my car presently running a new webber replacement for solex (yak ) would like to keep it,all suggestions and help gratefully accepted.
