mk1 golf 16v wiring problems

hi this is my first post on here. Ive got a mk1 golf what was a small block engine model what know has a 1.8 16v out of a mk2 golf ive got the wiring loom out of the mk2 golf and into the mk1 engine bay with it all pluged to the engine.Iam now left with a white plug that has 16 wires going in to it does any one know what wires i need to connect up. at the moment i have the
red + yellow as the fuel pump
brown as earth  
red+black as switch power
black as live
if anyone can help me with what else i need to do that would be great. Thanks alot dave
