mk1 engine conversion

can anybody point me in the right direction………

Im convertion my newly aquired mk1 1100 to a 1.9td mk3 golf engine that i have knocking around.

now iv heard that you can by conversion brackets instead of rewelding the engine mounts inplace. Is this a good idea or should i get the proper brackets welded in??
