mk1 20vt conversion

Hi guys


I have a auq engine and wiring loom im installing into my mk1.
What i need to know is how to run the standard management and how to
use the auq wiring loom.Im doing this on a budget so i cant afford the aftermarket ecus as yet.
I have also been told that i will need to use the mk4 dash panel as otherwise i will not have a rev counter?? is this true

If anyone has any info on the wiring ect that would be a great help as im not sure where to start yet.

you will need the ecu ,clocks and key and ignition ring or the engine wont run due to the vw immobiliser :wink:

where abouts does the ignition ring go? i've got one for my conversion but the wires are cut down
