Making Baby into a Beast

Hey guys my name is Rohann and I live in South Africa.  

I need some advice regarding the above matter.

About three years ago I bought myself a 1988 1.3 Citi MK1 and I think now is the time to upgrade my motor.

What type motor must I get and what conversions must be done to the car?  I am thinking in the region of a 1.8 but I don?t know if I must go card or fuel injected.

What you guys say?

youre best going for the 1.8 16v out of the mk2 golf gti or the 2.0 16v out of the mk3 golf 16v/ passat 16v/ corrado 16v. check out pauls write up on engine conversions for the best info in the technical section
