LSD DIFF!!!!

hey peeps!
I currently bought a mk1 golf with a 2ltr 16v conversion out of an  1991 audi coupe Which has been converted to twin 45 webbers taking the car up to about 170-180bhp! However i've been looking to take that slightly further, and am considering buying an (quaiffe, lsd diff)
I was told that the mk3 vr6 gearbox comes standard with the lsd and that it should fit straight on to the audi conversion without out alot off modifications…..? If this is so it would be ideal to get one second hand as the price for a new lsd is pretty expensive!
I was just wondering if anyone has any information that could help me, as i've never heard of this conversion before and dont know where to seek more info! thanks sean

The Mk3 VR6 gearbox doesn't have an LSD and doesn't fit onto any VW 4 cylinder engines. I imagine the info was supplied by the person trying to sell you it???

have a look on ebay there was a 16v gearbox with quaffe fitted, not sure if it has ended but maybe  worth a look.
