loom advice

I have a series2 mk1 with bullet type fuse box and loom, the car is stripped at the moment for painting on rebuild i am fitting mk2 16v engine. Is the original loom ok to use or am i better sourcing a later style box and loom before rebuilding. Will prob fit the isv as i have the full mk2 loom as well.
Can any one give some good advice on this.
cheers.

Does anyone know the differences between the early and late looms aside from obviously the fusebox end of things?

If it has the same connections to the engine (Basically Senders and Air Aux Valve) i'd just use the mk1 loom.  Then strip out the two sections of the mk2 loom you'll need, ie ISV and ECU/TCI.  The mk1 TCI and loom goes in the bin anyway for the valver one.
