I was advised away from the 6 speed box, it is just too wide and too heavy.
I hope that's a Limited Slip Diff !!

Cheers,

What selector mech did you use with your box syncro, am I assuming mk4 flywheel & clutch?  Also what pedal box did you fit to your mk1 as im assuming you went hydro as I cant get the seat cable thingy to convert it to fit.

I used a mk4 golf gti 5 speed gear shifter, i used a corrado g60 flywheel and a helix autosport vr6 clutch. i used a clutch master cylinder from rally design and made a bracket to attatch it to the steering column inside the car

thought you could only use a 6 speed gear shifter on a 6 speed box?  That hydro clutch looks complicated, any reason you went that way instead of fitting a pedal box from say a passat b4 or summin?

edited:is that a dbw tp I see?

Thats the norm for the mk1,other pedalboxes would be even more work to fit

i cant remember the size but there were 3 sizes available and i picked the mid size one, the resevoir is mounted by the wiper motor
