KR with 2L bottom end? Advice please
So my question is;
What is needed to fit a 2L bottom end on a KR?
So far I believe I could use a 9A or ABF but the 9A is easier?
Thanks for any help
James.

Your Sportline should be ce-2 so it would be pretty easy, plug and play!

The ABF is a taller block (16mm) but uses the same bore/stroke as the 9A, it just has longer rods to create a better torque curve.

also unless the kr has a ported head there is no need to swap it over to the 2.0 bottom end if you get a complete engine, just fit the engine complete.
however if its a 6a/9a/ace you will want to swap the kr cams over if you havent already done so, as the original cam will be lame. the abf has best cams in already so keep those if you go that route.
if you want full abf managment route then you'll need the loom and the ecu along with the block, plus all the inelt manifold, throttle body etc. thats all you will need though the old fuel system will be more than enough for the abf stuff.
