K Star - question

There seems to be little information on the type & use of the k star ecu. Does anyone know what if any are the differences between the 8v & 16v units & where I can find some info? Milford (manufacturer) don't seem to be on the go anymore ?

K star has been dead for a good few years now . Times have moved on and there are better performance upgrades out there now . Look at issue 1 of Golf+ magazine [if you can find one] i remember a feature on it .

there are basically 2 types of k-star, type that can remap the ignition only and the type which can remap both ignition+fuel.   ignition+fuel is obv the better type if you've gone mad with the modifications.

main trick these days is finding someone who can actually tune it for you!

What else is out there for the 16v K-jet to be tuned up with I have been running a K-star on mine for 2 years I beleive it's all down to who ever is remapping the ecu some swear by emerald, dta, mega squirt etc  If you ave the K-star Stealth Racing still has the software

there are also 3 iirc versions of it.

the 3rd one being the largest box

Im putting a 16v turbo converted kr engine runnng a k star in mine. Stealth stil have info on them

the k-star software i have only runs on win95

I thought if you ran mega squirt you no longer used the k star fuel management???

if you had full megasquirt you wouldn't be using k-star.
