just put these on the golf

had a busy couple of day putting these bits and bobs on my series 2, didn't go hassle free though   amongst other problems one of my CV joints totally fell apart - as a result I'm now pretty handy at putting them back together, it did take a while to figure out, Krypton factor style
heres some piccies

It was so hot I had put put the gazebo up to try and shade me from the sun

looks like a rally pit stop with that gazebo up , is it true that fk kits have gone up in price now cos they used to be quite reasonably priced

FK have stopped supplying distributors that still advertise the cheaper prices , they may still have a few sets in stock . bear in mind they are koni shocks ( thats where the K in FK comes from) and really are top quality kit .
Mr gti , dont get lost in translation , every idiot will tell you the can of spray is protector - its not its a strong solvent cleaner … go and buy some high imapct black or clear waxoyl , yes i know it looks minging but they will never seize up .
lets have some slammed pics , everytime ive fitted these you have to wind em down as low as theyll go , im sure you did the same .
Be carefull of the drivershaft on the o/s they can get close to the chassis leg when you get below 70mm .
That cv may be best replaced - mine were a tad worn so i rearranged all the bearings and they seemed find - comming off the m20 on monday it self destructed !!

the ride is really rather good, no where near as harsh as I thought it would be. The kits have gone up in price so had to bit the bullet - but once bought should I sell the car they are staying with me!!

will post some pics up as it sits now in a bit, I must get my tracking sorted and find some way of accuratly doing the camber though.

Oh, and I didn't think that spray was up to much G dub, as it didn't leave any kind of coating.

ah good call - have the same propping up my spare bed awaiting fitting. some kind soul had already poly bushed my mk1 when i got it. Look for a decent bike chain protection or similar. i found a good product but the name escapes me.

Where did you get the plain wishbones mate?

If you want me to borrow a camber gauge and some tracking gauges drop me a line.
