Its taken 3 years so far.

But in my defence I have moved twice in that time.

Had it stripped, then had to rebuild it to move first time (easier to put it all on a trailer than in bits in a van and trailer), then didn't touch it after the first move, stayed there a year, moved again and have now been playing on sundays when I get a chance.

This is how I got it

First thought I'd put a new wing on and drive it, but it needed a gearbox, roof and then I found the filler in the rear panel…

Decided to do it all then.

Rest of the car is quite solid, even underneath is real good.

And 1 with my assistant.

I did have a load of picks of the front panel an under bonnet work, but my hard drive self distruced and I lost all the car picks and all the picks of my sons first years ( wife was not happy ), teach me to back stuff up.

Hope you like so far..

My plans are for a GTI look in lhasa with some subtle body mods, got a blue mohair ( think they will look OK together)  and Cream leather the recaro's with a corrado rear bench and dash.

Hope to have it all done for E38 and inters next year.. Fingers crossed.

If you are adding a cream interior, I would seriously put a cream roof on it.
You don't really want three colours going on - it won't look right!
