its poss

any thinks possible

the question should be wats involved

from wat i understand you pretty much have to replave most off the engine internals. it may be easier to find a 1.4 t out off a diff car and 'drop' it in

Those new VW 1.4s are turbocharged and supercharged, so why not?  :D

you just need the manifold with a flange for the turbo take off and oil pipes and some other bits and bobs, you will need to uprate the fuel pump too, its not "easy" but can be done to vitually any car on the planet

92 Sportline in Flash Red, Standard **SOLD**

91 G60 Corrado in Aqua Blue pearl

91 Rallye Golf, Tornado Red, AMD tuned to 220bhp 227 flb torque 9j x16 Borbet B alloys

yes and you will also need to lower the engine compression and uprate the pistons ect ect

by the time youve got all the bits and done you could have dropped a 1.8t in the car

No reason you couldnt do it and run 5psi boost without an intercooler.
You could leave the engine internals alone and keep the setup simpler doing it that way and itd be perfectly driveable as long as theres no inherent weakness in the internals themselves.
Lets face it, a 1.4 is never gonna set the world on fire, but with a few psi boost itll certainly liven up the ride a little..:)
