induction kit?

does any one no if its possible to  put a universial induction kit on before the air box with the filter in?

in theory you could, you would prob been reducer rings to get it to clamp up, but you have already posted up about this here…. :?

and I have already replied saying that a cone is prob the crappest idea even thought up for the mk1! it just does not work!! you will suck in hot crap air, if you arent carefful you will also get water in the filter when it rains as it will be too lowly mounted,

the airflow into the stock air box will be crap too, its not the worlds best as stock but this will make it worse.

plus you will still need to butcher a normal panel filter for the seal as the airbox wont seal tight with out it, meaning you will suck in un filtered crap

also the cheap universal filters tend to have the filtering properties of pair of fish net tights, so you wont be doing your engine any favours either

 

well thats all i needed to no.. i wont do that then... ive got a pipeacross panel filter in and ive got a chrome induction pipe.. just wonderwhat what else i could get on there.. do you no if these mini filters work? vent fiilter maybe not to sure what there called?

you mean the breather filters…..

yes these do work, but only if done properly.

there is a pic on my build thread on here showing my set up, you shoudl really run via a catch can and even then it needs to be done right (and mines not yet…nothing inside to seperate the oil vapour….)

you will also need to have the mixture re-set and the air box and metering head underside cleaned out as you will now be running with no oil vapour and a cleaner mix, which will alter the air to fuel ratio.

if done properly and set up, and used with a audi 100 5 cylinder throttle body it makes a massive improvement to the engine and the way it revs.
