Hydraulic Clutch... What pedal have you used?
Hey everyone!!
Just wondering what everyone with a hydraulic clutch did when it came to fitting the clutch pedal??
I need a clutch pedal with a master cylinder fitted to it but that is contained in the cockpit, the Mk4 (i think) one I have at the moment goes through the bulkhead which is no good as it'll be right next to my exhaust.
So does anyone know if there's any pedals out there i should go for? or should i get my original one modified?
Any info would be great
Thanks!!
Steff

Hi Stef
I have a hydro clutch pedal setup, I purchased a ready made one from crazy quiff's and it came with a modified pedal box, MC and resovior. Basically everything you need for inside the car.
The pedal box in a bolt in job, the hardest bit was undoing the existing sheer bolts from the steering column! drilling them out and mole grips did the job good tho
I then ran a copper line from the MC (3/8 thread i think?) in the car thru the existing clutch cable hole to near the brake servo, then used some M10/M12 to AN3 fittings with flexable teflon pipe to the slave on the gearbox. I used an O2A slave instead of the O2J one on my gbox, as the O2A one uses a M12 fitting which you can get AN adapters for, instead of the O2J special clip on thing.
I've mounted the resovior behind the dash, just behind the headlight switch with a jublie clip and a hacked up old coil bracket, so that I can undo it via small screwdriver with me hand up there (oeerrrr missus!) instead of taking the dash apart, if I need to add more fluid etc.
These are the only pics I can dig up at the moment, hopefully it gives you some idea!
Cheers,
Jdr.
