Good 2.0 16v Kr Engine....
Anyone know where to source one of these bad boys from?
And how far can you go in terms of mods?
Thanks.

The kr is the 1.8 16v. The 9a, 6a, ace are the 2.0 16v short blocks and the abf is the 2.0 16v tall block…
As for where to find them, keep a look out in the classifieds on here and clubgti etc and ebay or get down to your local breakers.
Power potential is from around 170 to 200 for the 2.0 depending on how many mods you do…
Loads of info on the clubgti forum about engine tuning, swaps etc as well as some good post on here too.

I was tempted to do what manic has done any buy the entire working donor car that way you can drive a few hundred miles in it to see if it pulls ok/looses any oil etc
Then you can break and sell the remainer of the car to hopefully make some money back!
