Ashley 4branch manifold

and looking for a K&N filter to match the carb

what else can benifit the setup i now have?? and is there any need to change to a different fuel pump?

1.4 abd bottom end would be a nice upgrade.

just so you know, if you fit tha\t cam you'll need to convert it to an electric fuel pump as the cam has no lobe on it for the mech fuel pump

@ mk2stu- its for my mk1 derby,so i can only fit a small block engine-i dont want anything bigger then a 1.3 in that car anyway-a lighter engine will suit it much better

rubjonny - can i use an electric fuel pump from a 8v gti? think i have one around here somewhere. would it have to be a tank mounted pump or could i fit one into the engine bay??

you would need a complete in-tank lift pump and sender unit from a late cabrio, scirocco or mk3 polo (g40 shape). mk2 lifter pump itself is compatible with MK1 but the sender unit is not im afraid. the under car gti pumps are way too powerful for a carby and would just drown the poor thing

you might need a pressure regulator but I've heard of a few people just running it on the std in-tank pump as is no problem at all.  the alternative is to use some kind of aftermarket fuel pump mounted under the car/in the bay, you would just need to check it can cope with sucking the fuel from the fuel tank without a lifter pump to help it :)
