Gear Selector - MK1 16v KR conversion

Hi using the standard 16v Gearbox 02Y I think.
It appears not to select all the gears, (engine is running but not driven yet).
3rd, 4th and 5th only,
Do i need to change the selector for a mk2 or is there something else I can do..

not 100% on that gearbox in the mk1 but i remember having to adjust the selector in my mk2 16v because of a similar problem.  There was a template online of where to position the gearlever while you set it up…
