g60 help

hi, this project should have been finished last month but unforeseen circumstances meant i had to put it off for a while. anyway i've now hit a bit of a wall, can someone please tell me where i can get a clutch cable for an 02a gearbox i've already replaced the slave cylinder for a cable operated arm but the part number i was given for the correct cable, i'm being told is discontinued. someone mentioned a seat toledo cable but didn't have a part number. can anyone confirm??. i also need to know which throttle cable i need for this conversion

iirc on club gti someone said a cavalier sri cable is the exact fit i used a 1.1 golf cable just took the white bit of so it fitted nicely

Yeah the seat conversion is the one i was gonna do,was gonna work out too costly so im just using an 020 box found a mk2 gti one that had the diff pins bored out and replaced with bolts for ?20!!!As for the throttle cable its mk2 1.3 one tht im using,or is that for the clutch?I might have to check that haha.....yeah its for the clutch actually.Id imagine anything for a big block would work, just so that it reaches the throttle body

Yep cavalier cable works ok but you would be better of doing a hydraulic conversion on the clutch pedal in the long run,the cable conversion works ok but will become very heavy on the foot after only a short period of time.I have tried these cable thingy's a few times on customers cars and eventualy converted them all to hydraulic master cylinder and refitted the slave cylinder and had no problems since.

cheers for the help lads, anyone know a part number for the cavalier cable? I would love to convert it to hydraulic mate but i'm low on cash and i could do with getting it back on the road as it's my daily driver. might go down the hydraulic route at a later date but right now it's a bit too much work changing pedals and master cylinder etc      :dontknow:

Hi mate use the mk1 throttle cable just cut the end off and use a solderless nipple a couple of quid from a bike shop.
