g40 into a mk1

hi all i would like to put a g40 engine in to my mk1 driver. i no its been done but will it drop straight in to the orignal mounts or will i need to try and weld one in. any info and help would be much appreiated lol you no what i mean lol

should drop staright in on the small block mounts guess thats the easy bit as for the rest just make it up as you go works for me :mrgreen:

are you doin a g40 swap if so some engine bay pics would be amazin

You'll need to do a bit of a search around, G40 conversions are rarely done TBH. If you come across a better thread, can you let me know and I can update the page on the left.

no i dont touch the g40 engines tbh honest i prefer turbo motors 8)
