Fuel distributor

Question ??

Does the mk2 16v fuel distributor and air flap unit work on a mk1 gti k jet system.  Think mines playing up and I want a good unit that wont be clogged with bits of rusty filler neck !!

oh yeah if they do work then has anyone near Swindon got one going cheap ??

Fueling is wrong for the MK1 GTI if using a 16v metering head. Although it would probably fit it would run right and you'd never be able to get the fueling correct.

I've heard of people using XR3i metering heads though.

The Mk2 8v metering head is the same part number as the Mk1, so that is a better option if you can't get a tidy Mk1 item….
