fitting an induction kit to a 1989 cabby HELP

any tips on fitting an induction kit to my 1989 clipper, i used the old airbox, removed the filter and banged the induction kit on. dont know if thts right any tips please

hey.. yeah thats pretty much right..  its not always great for the air intake. with mine i replaced the bottom of the airbox with an induction one that was made for the mark 1 golf wasabout ?80 but well worth it.. i also brought an induction chrome pipe which seems to push the air faster and improves the noise.. im probly no help to you.. but what ur doing is right.

its the same idea, ie pants unless you do it properly with cold air feed and sheiled box etc

they come up on ebay every so often for silly money, but like I have said they arent worth the hassle as you wont get any extra power, plus if its induction noise you want, well forget it due to the design of the engine and inlet its very limited and a filter wont make it any louder  :wink:
