Fitting Alloys from a Corsa!!!

I know, it sounds totally chav, but these are nice alloys…..trust me!

I always thought that Vauxhall wheels pretty much fit the VW's, the wheels I'm offered have a 56.5 centre bore whereas the mk1 is 57.1!

Will this mean the bolt is too large to go through the alloy to the hub? Or will there be just enough room?

Cheers

Rich

that means they wont fit on as the centre hole isnt big anough…

having said that though, they may fit.  theres some tolerance there so it may be closer than that. Its only 0.6mm to small anyway so sand in the hole 'may' get it large enough to squeeze on.

go on then post a pic of teh wheels

Vauxhall PCD is the same as the Mk1 but offset may be way off

Yeah I thought they would be a straight fit as well.

They arent anything new or amazingly fresh or interesting.  But they will improve the handling and give the car more of a wide look.

They are ET38!  They should be okay……. I think!!!

Sorry, after reading back my first post I now realise how it came across.

Should have said they are currently fitted to a Corsa/came froma corsa.

Will the ET not work then???  :dontknow:

ET 38 is standard offset on some VW Alloys, though the wheels you have bought are likely to be wider, therefore bringing the rear tyre wall closer to the struts. You will have to try them and see to be honest… You may need a small spacer.

What size are the wheels you want to fit?

Al,

Good point made mate.

The wheels are 15's, they come with 195/50 tyres.

OK - If they are 15X7's, you may be lucky, but if they are 15X8's you may need the spacers.
Spacers themselves would only need to be 5 or 10mm maybe and are quite cheap.

The flipside however is that at 8" wide and 15 inch tall, you will probably end up having arch clearance issues and need to get your arches rolled

I put a set of 15's from an astra onto my mk1 years ago and they fitted no problem.

Best bet is to whip the wheel off and try one b4 you buy them.
