There will be a number of differences, which work together to enhance the performance. For example, a capacity increase, better flowed inlet manifold, larger throttle body. Any 3 of these mods would not increase power (much) on its own, but when combined would make for power gains. If the engine has come out of a Golf GTI and its going into one, I can't see any huge issues ahead of you.

As far as i have been told by the seller of the engine its the original crank which he has said was polished with upgraded oil pump, new seals, new shells etc with new ks pistons :dontknow: he said with the headwork done it has been dynoed at 149 bhp. anyone ????
