ENGINE CONVERSIONS??

Hi all ive just joined the club, something i've been meaning to do since owning my first mk1(sadly in car heaven now).I have now managed to get hold of the classic once again and looking to do an engine conversion,im toying with the idea of a 1.8t from an audi a3.If anyone can give me some advice/info it would be muchly appreciated .thanks
