engine conversion

please could somone help i am looking to convert my 8v gti mk1 engine to a mk2 16v gti have got hold of a engine but need to know if anyone does a conversion kit for it

what do you mean by conversion kit mate

sorry mate all new to me what i ment was a kit hat may consist of engine mounts, brake pipes etc or are they pretty much the same on a mk1 and mk2 or is it a case of put it in and make it fit

and also the exhaust manifold

I'd advise searching here, and CGTI etc, for mk1 16V, you'll find tons of posts, good to get an idea of the kinds of issues people have had
