electrics to throttle/idel switch on a kr dohc 16v????????

from my pal sorting the wiring out on my mk1 clipper cab with a kr dohc 16v engine converssion:
does my  engine need a control module to make it work. The engine has a Throttle/idle switch, an Over-run valve and a Idle stabilisation valve fitted but obviously no wiring to them, as i've read diagrams to make this wiring it seems (according to all the manuals) these components are connected to a Control Module (not sure how big it is, small ecu, prob made from black plastic i think) I don't know if there's a version of that engine produced that uses these components but not wired to a control box and we don't have the correct diagrams or whether we're just missing this control box and it's loom
we are muddling through this project buts its a mystery as bought the car and was lied to over what required doing to finish it off, went to court and now want to get it on the road asap
so any help is welcomed

yes you need isv control unit for all those things, its about size of packet of fags (man size not womens ) and on mk2 is behind centre console. if you dont have the bay wiring either then getting the control unit wont help there is a mate of mine obn mk1 owners facebook group sellign complete mk2 16v loom but you'll have to mod this to get it into your car.

the alternative to the isv is use a mk1 aav, all this needs is a fuel pump feed and can work quite well. certainly better than not having any kind of idle control anyway
