electric windows

my golf has electric windows... but they arent wired in and i have no idea where to start as i have no wiring diagram, i also dont know what type of motor to use. its a 1980 gli convertible if that helps...

Bit of an open question there to be honest. It's probably an aftermarket kit anyway so difficult to advise on. If you're after leccy windows it might be worth fitting another kit. They sell 'em on ebay and I replaced one of mine with a kit off there last year, not OEM but a fraction of the price.
