Driver 1.3, 5-Speed gearbox conversion?!

Hello, currently my little driver only has a 4 speed gearbox which is perfectly okay, but could do with that fifth gear for ease of motorway cruising. What gearbox conversion could I perform?! Standard 1.3 engine Thanks! Luke.

Polo mks 2/3/4, Golf mks 2/3, Jetta mk 2.


To make the search simpler I would say find one from a mk3 polo as they are probably the most common due to the fact they are all small block engines.

Alternatively I have two 5 speed gearboxes you could choose from  One from a small block mk3 Golf I converted to a VR6, and one from a mk3 polo currently fitted in my mk1.  Both work flawlessly

I heard  that the 8p polo box is good. You will probably need to fab up a bracket.
