dash replacement ?

hi, i was just wondering whether this is true or not... i got told before that an audi tt dash will fit into a mk 1 or 2 golf, do you know anything about this and if it is poss? and to which model of golf please. i am looking at doing it but dont knwo if it is true or not... any help would be great cheers

I think it will fit  - have seen one in another car somehwere - but you will need to cut and mod it. You can get almost any dash into a mk1 if you cut it about enough. Seen corrado dash, e30 bmw dash etc. Good luck.

No dash other than a Mk1 dash will "Fit". All others will need work and brackets making up/welding in, not to mention the electrics to get the actual clocks working!
