Corrado Interior - Rear Bench - anyone fitted one?

How complex is it to get a Corrado rear bench in the back of a Mk1.  I'm planning on getting the one with the "hump" but I don't know if it's any different to the "normal" one.

It's going in an '89 Cabrio GTI.

Have not put one in a MK1 ,but did a MK2 conversion for a mate, just make sure that you get all floor brackets etc,as the corrado has a centrally mounted floor fixing point :D

Size wise I am not sure might be a tight fit

Speeding is like masturbation, everyone does it ,but it's not something you should record and put on the internet!!

I think 'Leeson' has a Corrado rear bench in his Mk1 - tintop though and unsure if its a hump seat or not. I think I've read in his threads that you need a wedge of extra foam at each side as it's not quite as wide as the mk1 unit? This may differ for a cab though

Also the hump bolts down onto the body in a Corrado so you may have to drill/tap/fit captive nuts in the area under the seat base, in order to bolt the hump hinge down to the body.

Hope this makes sense - when you look in a Corrado you'll see what I mean.

yeah ive done this in my tintop

a bit of a nightmare to get everything to fit right but when its done its worthwhile

there was quite a bit of choping involved, like the lower cushions were you sit your butt on had to be shaved down to get it to sit right..my lowers are fitted on metal trays so they slide in and bolt down

i followed a guide on matey matey for a mk2,although it isnt quite as easy as fitting them in a mk1

ive seen other people use quicker methods, but they dont look right imo
