How much cutting and shutting/messing about is required to do th erears in a MK1 Cabby. I have the old seat in pretty good condition and a raddo rear seat, also in pretty good condition.
Has anyone done a tread on this seat swap or are people giving up on this idea. I have front black leather Raddo storm seats and really would like to get the rears to match.
Ideas or pointers gladly taken.
Thanks for your time,
Neil.

ive seen it done but it didnt look like it fitted well i think there were gaps down the sides. ive got them in my garage and it looked like they just zip tied them to the old frames.
worth doing if you can finish it well the headrests look good and should stop passengers sliding about in the back

I did exactly what you described: Got myself a rado rear bench = didn't fit in the cabby. So I took the fabric cover off it and put it on my mk1 bench. It needed a small amount of altering (can't remember what, but it involved either letting open and stitching / glueing part of it). It still doesn't fit perfect, a bit baggy in places. But at least the bench fabric matches the front seat fabric now.

Well, looks like I am going aginst the flow, winter project is to fit the rear bench into my cab.
There are guides around if you look for them, It all depends on how far you want to take you car /project and how good you are with stuff like that.

White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!
Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.

Good luck. Mine was a daily at the time so I kinda wanted it in and done. Given the choice now it's garaged, it's worth spending some time and effort doing it proper.
Don't forget to post pics of how you do it

If all goes well I will stick some pic up, may be a little while yet.
I have a fair bit of trial fitting to do before making brackets etc…
