Corrado 1.8 16v front brake conversion.

Hi guys, would corrado 16v brakes fit my 83 golf driver? My car is a 1.3 model, i've got a corrado as spares, engine will be going in which is 16v kr lump, i fancy upgrading the brakes as a must because i'd like to slow it down towards corners and feel the standard brakes won't. Wondering if both the Servo and master cylinder would fit aswell? Cant think of any more upgrades i could incorporate using the corrado at the moment… Any help/ info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks. Kris

I think the servo and master cylinder should fit, once you modified the rear clevis pin - see sticky thread on here. The discs will fit and the calipres can be used BUT only with the rare as rocking horse poo scirocco 16V carriers or audi carriers. These are still available from VW but are over a ?120 each!!!!!!

I managed to find some on ebay for ?25 notes!!

I run the 256mm front brake setup with std servo and m/c and it stops like a dream (now the pads are bedded in). As advised on here i 'fettled' the back brakes and now have a decent (ish) pedal.
