Competition top mounts? which competition exhaust? ?

I need some of your expert advice please

I need some competition front top mounts (MK1 golf GTI). Anyone know anywhere that makes them? or have any for sale?

Im also after a full competition exhaust system. Could anyone recommend a good one?

Ive seen the stainless ones on ebay (OMP) for ?180. they boast that they are lightweight 1.5mm thick. They sound a bit poor, anybody used one?
I want a nice sound (of course) but want a relatively standard looking tailpipe.

Oh, and im on a bit of a budget

I know Bonrath sell competition top mounts http://www.bonrath.com/d/dgo.htm  I think they are called domlager in German.  I think Collo has ordered a set, so maybe he's worth a pm.

I remember someone selling a set on E38  ages ago but I've no idea if they are any good. I like the idea of eccentric top mounts though.
As for exhausts it will prob bring up loads of replies of people who swear by different brands.

I've got a s/steel powerflow exhaust, probably not the lightest but well fitted, not noisy and finished with a std look tailpipe. ?300 but with a lifetime guarentee whilst I own the car!!

If you can come by one, Supersprint used to make an 'R-Series' exhaust system that's 2.25" diameter all the way through, is made of mild steel (except the tailpipe) and only has a single large rear can so is very, very light. It looks and sounds kewl too!

Unfortunately they don't seem to make them any more though. I was fortunate enough to come by a brand new one locally… Maybe worth a look around? Maybe Ashely do something simelar to go with the 16v manifold?
