Choose My set Up!

I'm going to be fitting a new set of springs and dampers to my 1.8 gti and need you to put across the best possible reason for fitting the kit you think does the car the most justice.

I am using the car as a daily but I am also fitting a set of ATS cups and want the car to have a nice stance but not too hard and there for (I think) coilovers are out…. :dontknow:

I also need brands and the best place to locate them at the best price please.

Do your worst folks 8)

P.S. If you can remember anywhere that still stoks ATS Cups new that would also be a HUDGE help.  Cant' for the life of me remember what site I saw them on.

Mine's also a daily driver.
I have koni dampers(non adjustable)eibach springs,and 15" alloys and find this a good balance.
As for the ats cups i think styledynamix stock them and also a few other old skool rims.
Hope this helps

Nice one cheers Jess.

The one other thing I not too hot on is the optimum off set to get? :dontknow:

What do you think would be best?

I think the standard offset is ET38.

My alloys are ET36 and have no clearance probs. In general the lower the ET the further they sit out from the hub towards the wheelarch, and the higher ET they sit closer to the shocker.

I found this out when i wanted to get some azev a's which are only available with 24/26 offset and the dealer told me there was a chance they would rub.

Ats cups also have quite a low offset but i think it depends how much the car is lowered and what tyres your gonna use.
I would try for something between 28-40.
Also try dubmeister for ats (they had some at show today)
