160mph clocks be fitted into a mk1 dash? if so what is involved? cheers

Yes, but its a lot of work for not much actual benefit? I think there's a FAQ on the wiring changes/adaptions required.

I'm doing it on my cab for the rev counter rather than the speedo, what I've done is bag a scirocco dash loom as they'll plug right into pre-90 MK2 clocks. making them fit physically isnt something I've thought about yet, they are pretty close but I think the main issue is the 2 round pegs that hook into the metal bars, they're not quite in the same spot. I think I might have to modify the MK1 bars a little to get them in

You won't get more than about 100mph at a 1/4 mile. Even on a fairly fast circuit like Oulton Park, you won't get your speed up in the fastest section to about the same, 100mph. Up tp you whether you want to try it out on the motorway, though….

the man is right
i got a 16v with 120mph clocks and if you do go faster it will not be for long….
the best part is losing them on the b roads m8 ……..any body can go fast on a motorway ….
rape it in 2nd 3rd and four and your done 5th for getting there
