Can look good though especially on a mk1.
Id personally say if your cool with tyre wear and buying tyres a bit more often then go for it.
I dont know how quick or excessive the wear is. Might be a lot or virtually no difference really. Best to ask someone whos had it done before.

1 bolt fits 1 way only and the other has the capability to swing.
is this right.
if so i might jack up mine and put a little bit of negative on mine too.
or how do these camber shims work.
are they any good.

correct me if im wrong. isnt it possible to adjust the camber somewhat using the 2 bolts which bolt the hub onto the shock. i did it with my mk3 and its the same setup with the mk1.

Yes you are right, but thats only for the front suspension  Rear suspension needs shimming behind the stub axle.

The shims fit between the trailing arm and the stub axle. Fitting is easy as long as you are of a reasonable mechanical ability. However working out the instuctions for setting them is fun, you need to be sure they are set correctly otherwise you could end up with toe in rather than camber.
I have mine set on 1 degree negative.
Not the best pic, but it's all I have.
Wheels are 7j x 15 with 20mm spacers.
I'm not sure that running camber on 6.5's would look right unless you pushed them out a bit, depends on the look you want to achive
Projekt Frustration :
White 1991 Clipper. Lowered over polished zender rims, Single 40 dellorto on lynx manifold, kent cam, full stainless 'zorst / manifold, powerflex bushed and braced. Not the fastest car, but sounds super nice!
Still going after 12 years… never said it was a quick fix! Time is not my friend.
