Cabro doors on a tin top?

Hi guys, really weird question but does anyone know if Cabro doors will fit on a tin top 3door. Obviously modification is needed for a deal to be on the top to stop leaks where the window goes up to. It's just hard to find good doors being so old and rusty usually.
Any ideas would be great.

Cheers
Willl

How would you do the necessary modifications?

I was thinking change the rubber seal on the top where the window goes. I'm not sure if the doors are the same size. Do you or anyone know if they are?

there are a few mods to the framework but yeah they're very similar. someone converted cab to mk1 doors on the clubgti forums recently. the outer skin and main frame is very similar but you obv need to graft on theupper window frame or mod your car so it will accept frameless glass. would look trick but a lot of effort involved. if say you wanted the outer skin for repairing a tintop door then yep cab doors are ideal for this

I'd love to see pics too, just to see how big the gap is between the cabby door glass and the hatchback frame. If its too big then it will never seal properly, leading to lots of wind noise and leaks. It might well leak "as bad as a cabby"!!!

cheers "rubjonny" for that link.
Soooooo seems as though they are the same and is purely just a case of sealing the window. In that case i have a contact who has loads of different mk1s, going to see if he has original door and also will see if he has a cabby door and see what i can do to make it work with cabby doors. Just for the sake of doing it.
