bonnet vents..

Hi guys,
Thinking of putting a couple/few nascar/NACA style vents into my cabbys bonnet, was thinking 2 close ish above the carb (id like to go twin 40s so around that area for air flow) or would they look better toward the front? and 2 or 4? im undecided…has anyone done this? anyone got any pictures of bonnets vents of any kind on a mk1?

also looking for some vwmotorsport accesories and info, seen some items for sale occasionally like grilles and gear knobs and would love to know more and add a few goodies to my mk1

If you removed the scuttle or put some damn big holes in that would allow air flow from the standard vent. Or space the bonnet up

Removing the scuttle is also removing your firewall though...

I think louvres are better, when done right they look so much then scoops.

yes i love louvers but dont think they quite fit with the mk1 styling, scoops arnt my thing really either, not on alot of cars anyway, hence why i was thinking of intakes, the NACA/Nascar style, sort of Y shape and are flush to body.
