As far as the specifics, I imagine the manifold would be the biggest obstacle to overcome. If you can fabricate one yourself, then it should be okay, otherwise its going to be costly, for not a lot of gain.

so would my best rout to get more power and performance etc.. be to head down the twin 40/45 road…
the only reason i thought about the bike carbs was because of the huge price difference in them and weber 45's etc.
but knowing now they wont make much a of a difference on power i dont think i'll bover.
and yeh mates some PM'd info wud be appreciated just so i got a few idea's.
thanks again.

- How much money do I have?
- How much technical skill (are you putting it on yourself or getting the work done for you)?
- What do you want to achieve? ie what's the car to be used for.

skill - not a problem ( my old man and his mate have over 60 years experience between them )
and its use..
its my everyday road car. but i want to give it that bit more poke under the bonnet and tune it up abit, make it look a bit tidier than a standard engine as im hoping to start showing it etc once ive done more to it ..
or am i being silly ?

If money's no object, then 20vT is probably the most sensible route. Everything is available off the shelf, and its a good amount of power for a Mk1 to have a lot of fun with!
