Best brakes on 13" wheels

Hi all, my first post so here goes. What is the biggest disc that would fit under a standard 13" gti alloy wheel and what caliper upgrade could i do? was thinking that a vauxhall caliper would give me a longer pad?  :dontknow: I dont want to go large on the wheels as i want to keep it looking standard. cheers john.

i can't say for sure but i don't think anything but standard would fit under a 13" rim

do mk1 gti calipers n disks fit under 13's cuz ive only got a base model mk1 n its a bit scary attempting to brake when u've got a lot of weight in the car haha

Mk1 Gti's had 13" alloys (nine spokes) as standard, so yes.

might be a worthwhile upgrade then! plus sticka  mk2 servo n master cylinder on there too for good measure gotta be better than standard golf c brakes lol
