Basic and cheap brake upgrade.

Hey up,

I'm currently tooling around in an 1983 mk1 1300 and I'm wanting to upgrade the brakes to a setup with a little more bite :) I'm not after race spec or anything like that, just a bit better than the current set-ups crapness.

What would be peoples recommendations for a cheap upgrade?

Laters,

Jam.

Bigger servo & Master Cylinder. Better pads and GTi vented discs if you feel you drive it hard enough to overheat the solid discs. I've got a Formel E, so started where you are. I jumped straight to 256mm front and discs at the back, with the bigger servo and master cylinder. Isn't the cheapest though and there are plenty of people who will tell you that you don't need to go this far. I plan to road rally mine and the parts came up cheap.

Change the brake fluid if not been done for years - just this and a good over haul could make a difference.
