Audi throttle body high idle .

Just wondering if anyone has fitted an audi throttle body , i got one on ebay and fitted it last weekend it does make a noticable difference on acceleration so i'd like to keep it on but i can't get the car to idle below 1750 rpm . I checked the butterflies and can see no light through them and also the idle needle but cant find anything wrong there either so i'm abit stumped . Anyone else had this problem , would fitting the idle screw from the original throttle body help ? .

I have a audi throttle body too and will be fitting on my 2.0 8v conversion.

Did you match the body to the inlet manifold? :dontknow:

Havent got round to it yet but i will keep you posted . I did try to match the inlet manifold to the body with a dremmel but things get a little tight and you start to run out of material on the smaller choke .

had this on mine b4 the conversion, was difficult to turn the idle screw because it faces the bulkhead!

i cut up a piece of metal and used that to adjust the idle but i think mrv put the idle screw in from the standard throttle body…

how did you fit the throttle cable?
