anyone ever fitted a 1.4 16v engine into a mk1 ?

Was thinking of doing this convertion but cant find much info on it anywhere anyone ever done it succesfully
or tried ?

Assuming you're talking about AFH? This is a quite popular conversion. As the AFH box has 100bhp as standard from a 1.4!

I'm hoping to be doing this soon, i've been researching for ages and have collected many forums and info, if you want i can link you to everything i've got?

It's a relatively straight forward conversion due to it being a small block, if you're going to be putting it into a 1.1/1.3?

It's almost the same as putting one in a mk2 Polo so have a search around Club Polo.
