Aluminium Strut Brace Recommendations Please!

Hi

Friend of mine has an original MK1 Golf GTi.

He's looking for an Aluminium Strut Brace for the front.

Anyone with recommendations?  Links would help also.

Ive recently ordered a weicher (i think thats how its spelt) one.  Havnt received it yet but will let you know how i get on with it.

If you're talking top strut brace then I would suggest you invest in a lower one. I've read in a few publications that it's the bottom one you need on MK1's and the top one is more for show than go. I've fitted one, supplied by Trimsport and the front end feels much tighter.

Yep, the one I ordered is lower front, was also advised this is a better upgrade than the top one... particularly for my 16v conversion!!

I got mine from awesome GTi - www.awesomegti.com - I got the OMP one for about ?60, which is supposed to be one of the best (I think)
