aftermarket electronic speedo conersion

hi all, does anyone know of an aftermarket electronic speedo that will run in a mk1 gearbox in the same hole an be driven by the diff but can be wired up either into original dash gauges or aftermarket  gauges.i would like to do away with the cable an put my own clocks in but dont know if theres anything available without fittin wheel speed sensors an a pick up ring or something of that sort?

yes mk3 speedo sensor will drop into your box, just need to get one to match your gearbox. what car is it

ah i knew mr rubjonny wd av the awnser.im usin a 1.8 8v 5 speed box.dnt know exactly what code it is.do you know if the mk3 sensor can be wired up to be used on different speedo clock?im gessing they wd need to be callibrated an such!

no idea if the aftermarket speedos will work with it, best to talk to the manufacturer?

sweet! that means i can get rid of the speedo cable hole hahaha. will look into runnin aftermarket clocks. thanks for your help mate

you would need some kind of mechanical -> electric conversion or strip 2 sets of clocks down to see if the mk3 speedo part eill fit. its been done but not easy
