accelerator cable 2.0 16v conversion

Right just want to check but i need a new cable which cable should i go for the new engine is a ABF do i need a mk2 cable and is the 8v the same as the 16v one

yeah mk2 gti is what you want, 8v and 16v are the same. if its pattern give it a damn good spray of silicone lube down the cable as the routing is a little awkward. buy a new mk2 golf accelerator pedal rubber too they're dirt cheap and fit a treat
