A few questions!Engine Mounts and 02J gearbox for 1.8T 20V
My only other confusion is as far as the 02J box goes. I am going to put a (lightened) G60 flywheel and VR6 clutch in which I know is the best option. What other modification needs to be made to allow the box to fit and utilise the standard mk1 driveshafts. Also what cables do I need to attach the shifter tower to the box.
I am intending to use OEM management to keep the knock sensor and because I can get it de-immobilised and remapped from a friend. Therefore I have a shopping list which consists of:
AGU Engine
Intake and Exhaust Manifolds
Turbo
Alternator
Engine loom
ECU
02J 5 speed box with shifter tower
Shift cables of some description to suit
Engine mount + Gearbox mounts
Water Pump and Cambelt kit
VR6 clutch and G60 flywheel
I think that is it? Is there anything I am missing? I assume clocks and key are irrelevant as I will be de-immobilising and mapping the ECU.
One last question which is un-related to the engine, I am going to use a CrazyQuiff pedal box with bias brakes and hydralic clutch. However I would like to run a servo so that my brakes are easy enough to use without loads of effort. Is that wise? or should I avoid the servo and go MC only. I am running mk2 16V discs all round. However am looking to upgrade the fronts at some point.
Cheers,
Joe
