6 speed gearbox, what's required

Hi Peeps,

Right I've been doing some investigating into getting a 6 speed gearbox in my mk1, I've worked out there are 2 choices the 02S or 02M and the 02S is the gearbox of choice due to ease of fitting but is quite hard to find the 02M is easier to get hold of but is a pain to fit.

What I'd like to know is with both gearboxes are you able to convert them to cable clutch?
If not what pedal box is suitable for the conversion?
Is the 02M a pain to fit due to the mounts and having to fabricate your own?
Can you use the 02A/02J mounts that are available for the 02S?

I've just been looking for info on a 6-speed conversion myself though it is a bit of a pipe dream at the moment. If you do this, I'd love to hear how you get on.

i have just put a 02m in a golf and its expensive and time consuming, there are alot of issues to overcome and alot of fabrication.
the hurdles to overcome are shafts, mounts and exhaust and speedo, also the box is very heavy.
