20vt Rad Hoses - Which ones? Part numbers etc?? HELP!

Hello everyone,

Thought I would post this as it is not exactly clear what is required for the 20vt conversion apart from that you need a mk2 golf bottom hose and renault laguna top hose. Now what model of mk2? Part number? and what model of Laguna? Part number?

I thought I would post this to help others as I couldn't find an answer at all!

Also is there a VAG alternative rather than a laguna hose? I'm sure something must fit!

Alot will depend on what rad your using, the mk2 golf bottom hose should fit any really, and the laguna top hose was a bit of a snug fit on my conversion, but it is what alot of people have used before.

I got my top hose off of ebay, as long as it has a two straight bits with two bends in it, (difficult to describe without seeing it!) it should be fine.

Most of the cooling pipe fitment is trial and error. Just experiment with some piping of your selection and choose what fits the best and looks the best.

I put my engine and rad in then looked at how big and what bends it would need to have, then just went to the scrap yard and brought a few, cost a couple of quid think one was off a rover 400 and a citreon xantia alot cheaper than buying them new, just make sure there in good condition no crackin etc.
